Natural Thermal Spring

Environmental Responsibility
By the early 1990s, farmland along the Huab River was overgrazed and most wildlife had been shot. In order to protect and rehabilitate this area the Huab Safari Ranches, an amalgamation of farmlands, was set up and the Huab Conservation Project was established to promote the rehabilitation of the mismanaged land on many levels by: 
-    enforcing anti-erosion measures
-    cleaning up rubbish 
-    removing fences and allowing free passage for the wildlife
-    removal of domestic stock
-    encouraging wildlife to return by improving natural grazing conditions
-    making drinking water available in open, saucer-like troughs
-    enforcing a no-shooting policy
-    re-introducing animals which used to occur naturally

Huab Lodge was then established to generate funds to save the desert elephants from being harassed and shot. Thanks to the generous donations by guests to Huab Lodge, the Huab Safari Ranches is returning to a wilderness area, with game numbers increasing and species diversity increasing with re-introduction projects.

All cancellations will be reconfirmed in writing. Non-receipt of a cancellation confirmation means that the reservation has not been cancelled.

* 21 – 16 days prior to arrival: 50% of invoiced amount
