Travel details
* During the dry season, the lodge can be reached in a small 2 X 4 sedan.
* Although Le Mirage lies in a desert, rain in other parts of the country can cause rivers to flow. The onset of the flow is very rapid.
* As a large part of the journey takes place on gravel roads, consultants should switch to a 4x4 vehicle during the rainy season (October to April).
Swakopmund
Swakopmund to Le Mirage is approx. 364 km

* From Walvis Bay drive south on the C14 to Solitaire (approx. 230 km)

* Turn right into the C27 and follow it to Le Mirage (approx. 21 km)
From Mariental to Maltahöhe the C19 is tar road. From Maltahöhe the route is gravel road.

Helmeringhausen
Helmeringhausen to Le Mirage is approx. 232 km
* Helmeringhausen drive south on the C13 to the C27 turn off (approx. 4 km)
* Turn right into the C27 and drive to Le Mirage (approx. 228 km)
The entire route is gravel road.
Detour attraction: At Betta travellers can take the D826 to visit Duwisib Castle.
Lüderitz (very long day's drive)
Lüderitz to Le Mirage is approx. 454 km
* From Lüderitz drive east on the B4 to Aus (approx. 125 km)
* From Aus drive north on the C13 to the C27 turn off (approx. 101 km)
* Turn into the C27 and drive to Le Mirage (approx. 228 km)
The B4 is tar road. The rest of the route is gravel road.
Detour attraction: At Betta travellers can take the D826 to visit Duwisib Castle. Helmeringhausen is only 4 km from the C13 into C27 turn off and ideal for re-fuelling.

Windhoek via Spreetshoogte Pass
Windhoek via Spreetshoogte Pass to Le Mirage is approx. 345 km
* From Windhoek drive south on the B1 to Rehoboth (approx. 87 km)
* From Rehoboth drive south west on the C24 to the D1261 turn off (approx. 39 km)
* Drive on the D1261 to Nauchas (approx. 55 km)
* From Nauchas drive the D1275 down the Spreetshoogte pass to the C14 turn off (approx. 51 km)
* Turn left into the the C14 and continue to Solitaire (approx. 9 km)
* From Solitaire, head south on the C19 to the D826 turn off (approx. 72 km)
* Turn right onto the D826 and follow it to Sesriem (approx. 11 km)
* Turn left onto the C27 and follow it to Le Mirage (approx. 21 km)
The B1 is tar road, the rest of the route is gravel road.

NOTE:
With a gradiant of 1:1.6 the Spreetshoogte Pass is one of Namibias
steepest passes and can not be driven with trailors, caravans or top
heavy vehicles.
Windhoek via Remhoogte Pass

* From Rehoboth drive south west on the C24 down the Remhoogte Pass to the C14 turn off (approx. 174 km)

Marketing descriptions
A short drive from Sossusvlei and Sesriem, luxurious Le Mirage welcomes explorers with trickles of water, a sparkling pool and brilliant greenery in the midst of the hot Namib Desert.
Rising out of the vast Namib plains near Sesriem and Sossusvlei, Le Mirage resembles the fortress of an Arabian prince. Yet on entering the guest is welcomed by cooling waters and green vegetation. Each private balcony has a high arched window looking out over the desert. Ground floor rooms have doors opening onto the surrounding plain.
Guests can visit Sossusvlei and Sesriem, quad bike on the plains, relax at the pool or enjoy a massage.
Rising up out of the vast Namib Desert plains near Sesriem and Sossusvlei, Le Mirage resembles the fortress of an Arabian prince, a fitting base for adventure in the hot desert sands. Yet on entering the guest is confronted with trickles of water, a sparkling blue pool, brilliant green vegetation and the remarkable contrasts of comfort and the luxury of cool spaces in a hot and parched environment.
Built around a luxurious courtyard, the rooms at Le Mirage remind the traveller of a scene from Arabian nights. Each private balcony has a high arched window looking out over the desert. Ground floor rooms have French doors allowing the traveller to step into freedom on the vast, surrounding plain.
Guests can take part in drives to Sossusvlei and Sesriem, take quad bikes onto the plains surrounding Le Mirage, relax around the pool with a drink or de-stress with a massage.
