Opuwo is an excellent base for guided trips in Kaokoland as well as cultural encounters with the Himbas. Additional attractions in the vicinity include Ruacana and Epupa Falls. A visit to Opuwo and is normally placed on the itinerary before or after Etosha and / or the Twyfelfontein area.
